Terms of Service

These Terms of Service are the agreement between you and the operator of CubeManager, named in our Legal Notice. By creating an account or using the platform you accept them.

The service

CubeManager is a platform for organizing speedcubing competitions and taking part in them: registration, schedules, scrambles, results, rankings and competitor profiles. It is independent: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the World Cube Association (WCA), and results recorded on CubeManager are not official WCA results unless a competition's organizers submit them to the WCA themselves.

CubeManager is currently in beta. Features can change, and some are still being completed. We announce significant changes on the site.

Your account

• Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
• If you are under 15, use CubeManager only with a parent or legal guardian involved. A competitor under 18 who registers for a competition themselves must confirm a parent or guardian's consent.
• One person, one account. You can delete your account at any time.

Organizing competitions

• Organizers are responsible for the information they publish, for running their competitions safely and fairly, and for complying with local law and the rules that apply to them (including the WCA Regulations for a WCA competition).
• Registration fees, when there are any, are set and collected by the organizer, not by CubeManager. Questions about a fee or its refund go to the organizer.
• An organizer who enters information about other people must have the right to do so, and may use it only to run the competition.

Price

CubeManager is free during the beta. Publishing and running a competition costs nothing, whatever its size, and nothing can be bought on the site.

If paid features are introduced later, they will be announced in advance and described in a new version of these Terms, which you will be asked to accept before they apply to you.

Your content and your data

• What you put on CubeManager stays yours. You allow us to host and display it as needed to run the service — for example, a published competition's list of competitors and its results are public.
• Results of published competitions are part of the sporting record and stay public after an account is deleted, without the link to that account.
• You can download your data at any time, and organizers can export their registrations and results (CSV) at any time.

Availability

We work to keep CubeManager available and take encrypted backups every night, but we cannot promise an uninterrupted service. For a competition day, keep your own exports and printed sheets — the Security & your data page lists what to prepare.

If CubeManager closes

If we decide to stop the service, we will tell every account by email and on the site at least 60 days in advance, and you will be able to export your data during that time.

Acceptable use

Do not disrupt the service, try to reach data you are not allowed to see, collect it in bulk by automated means, create accounts to abuse offers, or use the service to cheat — including by obtaining scrambles before they are used.

Suspension

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms. Unless the situation is urgent or unlawful, we explain why and give you a chance to respond first.

Liability

We provide CubeManager with care, but "as is", as a service in beta. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as a competition that has to be run on paper for a while. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights consumer law gives you.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.

Changes to these Terms

When we change these Terms in a way that matters, we publish a new version and ask you to accept it before you continue.
